Entries & Results - July 3rd Update

Lerato N– She's in tonight! Last race of the night. Set to start at about 9:18 pm.

Dylan the Great- Dylan left the gate well and got away 4^th. Sean pulled Dylan to the outside the first time they were in front of the tote board to make a move for the front, when he didn’t make the lead, Dylan and Sean remained two wide and up towards the front of the pack until the last turn. Being first over can be tough on a horse, as they are going farther and are facing all of the wind resistance from having no horses in front of them. He seemed to tire some around the last turn, while the field marched on and Dylan finished 8^th.

He's back in to race again on Sunday July 6th. Race 10 and he drew the rail!

Cut A Rug (Carter)'s - Mooney decided the best move for Carter was to duck him, and get him away towards the back, to stay out of the early speed. He got away 7^th, and shortly after the first turn, Mooney was able to tip him to the outside row of horses and  pick up cover, which means he would get to follow another horse. He stayed on the outside tier of horses until the last turn, when he tipped three-wide for a shot at the win. Cut a Rug was cruising down the stretch in an attempt to catch the leader. And while he couldn’t quite catch him, he was able to pull off an impressive third that was almost a second! 

He's back in to race again on Sunday July 6th. Race 9, post position 4!
