Lerato N- shot off the gate, but Brian wisely settled her into 4th as the leader blazed through a :26.3 opening quarter. Just past the half, Brady Jenson pulled Miss Cadet 1st-over, which allowed Lerato N to inch up along the rail. Unfortunately, heavy traffic on the outside kept her locked in. On the final turn, Brian swung her 3-wide into the outer flow, and she came charging down a tightly packed stretch. Lerato was 4-wide and closing, but just not quite fast enough at the wire—missing a check by the slimmest of margins.

Lloyd’s Loves- Bryan Quevedo ducked Lloyd to the back early, taking 7th along the rail while a speed battle unfolded up front with a :27.2 opening quarter. Around the half, Bryan pulled her and made a big move up to 4th, but the fast fractions caught up with her. She went 3-wide, lost some steam, and slipped back to 8th. Even so, she fought hard through the last turn and into the stretch. The final clocking was a sharp 1:52.3, and while she didn’t hit the board, we know Lloyd gave us her best effort out there.
