Lerato N- Lerato got away toward the back of the pack. Around the 3/4 pole she was 2 wide and snuck between 2 horses in the home stretch getting up for 5th. Her trainer, Brian Detgen, was really pleased with how she raced last night! He said she is doing great for her second start of the year! Next week she should drop down a class and hopefully be a little more competitive.

Fun Fact: As long as your horse finishes in the top 5, they earn money! Of the total purse, 50% goes to the winner, 25% to second, 12% to third, 8% to fourth, and 5% to fifth. Last night, the race Lerato was in went for $7,200 which means that she earned $360!
