Entries & Results - June 28th Update

Lerato N– Brian decided the proper tactic for this race was to be patient, and ducked Lerato to the back of the very full field to save energy, rather than battle it out for a spot farther up front or risk being stuck on the outside for the whole mile. She stayed at the back for most of the mile, waiting for the ideal time to get closer in contention. Unfortunately, around the last turn, a horse ahead of her made a break which caused confusion and led to Lerato and others to go off-stride. Thankfully all of the horses and drivers were able to get around the breaking horse without any major issues, and Brian got her back on stride before the wire. However, it was not enough time for Lerato to make up enough ground to grab a check, and she came in 9th. 

Dylan the Great- He’s back in action on Sunday in Race 9, the Open trot. He drew post 6 in a competitive field of 9.

Cut A Rug (Carter)'s - Also racing Sunday, he’ll go behind the gate in Race 4 from post position 3.
