Lerato NLerato is set to go in Race 1. Unfortunately, she drew the outside post this week —but luckily,  it’s a short field with only six horses, and the six position has a high win percentage here at Running Aces!

Dylan the Great- Dylan blasted off the gate looking for the pocket trip along the rail, just behind the leader. He had it briefly, but pressure came from the outside, leading to plenty of horses shuffling around and vying for an optimum position in the second quarter. Sean sat patiently as they were shuffled back to 5th on the rail. Heading into the 2nd turn, they moved out to the outer flow and held their position until around the 3/4 pole, when they tipped three-wide. Dylan trotted home strongly in the stretch, powering up to finish a stellar 3rd!

Cut A Rug (Carter)'s - Carter got away in 7th, sitting on the rail. He pulled in the 2nd turn, and picked up some cover from the horses ahead. Stuck out in the 2nd tier until the 3rd turn, he then tipped three-wide, passing a tiring horse in front of him. He gave it everything he had down the stretch, but just couldn’t quite make up enough ground to earn a check. Despite a great effort, Cut A Rug finished 8th this week.
